Moms – Baby Your Bladders

As a busy mom, you don’t always have the time – or make the time – for yourself. You’ve got to drive the kids to school or day care, manage a household, nurse children who are ill, shop for and prepare meals – and perhaps juggle a fulltime job, besides.

Who has any time for left over herself, much less for her bladder?

If, however, you feel as though you have frequent bladder infections, especially if your cultures don’t show bacteria, it’s extremely important that you make time to discuss this with your doctor.

My Guilty Secret (Times Five)

I had never intended to become a multi-pet owner. My original plan, in 1999, was to surprise our boys (Ryan, age 9, and Adam, age 7) with a beautiful little kitten from a shelter in Lorain County. My original mistake was to invite my sister Tracy to help me choose the kitten.

First, she decides that I needed two kittens, since I have two boys. Then, what does she find but a brother-sister kitten team who, according to Tracy, cannot be separated.

Okay, fine. She convinces me and, for a few years, we were a relatively peaceful two-pet household with the all-gray Char and the all black Coal; conveniently, I could call out “Charcoal” and they would both come – if I had food, that is.
