Disney FamilyFun magazine
A revised classic game that the whole family will love is Trivial Pursuit: Disney for All.
You know the drill: answer a bevy of questions to earn precious wedges. But what testers enjoyed most about this Disney-themed edition is a new category that has players guessing one another’s Mouse House faves. For example, who does Mom think is the funniest: Genie from Aladdin, Stitch, or Tigger? Four or more players, ages 8 and up. Hasbro, $25....

It took the Little Green Portable Spot Cleaner by Bissell to help this parent realize that every home with carpet is in need of a steam cleaner. The Little Green system is not only a great way to attack as-they-are-made spills, it also helps removes dirt spots left on the floor (as well as snot spots left on the sofa by the kids — there, I said it).
This system is “green” in more ways than one – actually, two. Part of the tank, the hose and the brush head ARE actually colored green, but the true green in its name refers to the earth-friendly features, such as the PVC-free water tanks and hose as well as a brush block made from 100 percent recycled plastic. The box and packaging are also mostly made of recycled...

Nostalgia Electric’s Cotton Candy Maker can give you a first-rate cotton-candy making experience in your home — no carnival or fair required. This counter-top cotton candy maker system is simple to set up and begin to use.
However, the cotton candy maker does not come with a start-up supply of hard candies — imagine that! — so you will need to have these on hand or go out and purchase your own as you eagerly, almost anxiously, await your first use. Your selection of hard candy choices can be pivotal, especially if you are interested in producing unique cotton-candy flavors, such as butterscotch or peppermint; can’t find those at a fair!
While it may be wise to keep your hard candies stashed...

Want to give your child and yourself a gift that will keep giving all year long? Sign your family up for the BabbaBox, a monthly box of activities that includes crafts, games, stories and a way to enjoy the outdoors.
The BabbaBox was invented by a working mom who was trying to teach her daughter about the life of a butterfly. Jessica Kim thought by doing a craft together they could learn at the same time — but Kim wound up with 400 googly eyes when she only needed two, and 60 pipe cleaners when she only needed four.
She figured there has to be a better way to engage kids and connect with while teaching them, and created BabbaBox, a monthly club that sends you a box full of all the ingredients needed for creative, fun projects for...

Looking at a yellow jacket up close without worrying about getting stung is kind of cool.
You can look right in its face and eyes and see its lance-like stinger. It’s cool to just watch the bug’s habits.
It’s the same thing with spiders and other bugs. It’s kind of creepy to watch them, but fun.
You can really learn a lot about bugs with an Uncle Milton Bug Jug Live Insect Viewer.
No kidding. I stumbled on this thing while shopping for birthday presents for my grandkids, and I got two jugs.
I wasn’t sure how they would go over in this age of technology, but the Bug Jug was really popular on a recent camping trip.
My grandson and I collected yellowjackets, black...

Many parents accept the inevitable — small children are going to trash their car. Parents plan on smudge marks on the back of the passenger seat from constant kicks, imprints on the back seat from the weight of the car seat, and crumbs scattered on the floor from incessant snacking.
But most parents don’t plan on their car getting hit with a toy tornado. Action figures on the floor, crayons wedged between seat — toys everywhere.
A backseat caddy can help parents organize toys within a child’s reach and insist children put their items back in the caddy when leaving the car.
Sunshine Kids Travel Pal is a car caddy that holds drinks, books, and small toys. The caddy is about seven inches wide and can fit between two car...

In January, the U.S. Surgeon General issued a call to action about breastfeeding. Surgeon General Regina M. Benjamin said breastfeeding helps protect infants from infections and illnesses. Benjamin cited a study in the journal Pediatrics that estimates the U.S. could save $13 billion a year if babies were protected from such illness and infection.
Most American women begin breastfeeding after childbirth, but only 13 percent of babies are exclusively breastfed by six months of age, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
Many feeding aids are available to help mothers increase feeding ease and comfort. The Natural Boost from Leachco is a feeding pillow placed on the mother’s lap. The pillow has...
